Riverford Field Kitchen is our farm restaurant and the focal point for visits to the farm. Visitors take a tour of the farm, learn about organic growing and return to the Field Kitchen to taste the vegetables imaginatively prepared, demonstrating a real connection between the farm and the plate.

To keep up with the continued growth of the Field Kitchen, we are now recruiting a full-time Kitchen Porter to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen. This role will also involve assisting in food preparation.

Key tasks are: maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen; adhering to our health and safety policy including the recording of tasks; washing up of kitchen and front of house dishes; assisting the kitchen staff with vegetable preparation etc.
This job is fixed term until Dec 08.

The Riverford Field Kitchen is part of Riverford Organic Vegetables near Buckfastleigh. It is an exciting project aimed at giving our customers & visitors a chance to discover the farm and taste the produce growing in our fields. The kitchen is open daily throughout the season and provides delicious meals for our visitors, and also for our local school.

We need some extra help over the busy summer months. Flexibility of working hours to include evening and weekend work is essential. Experience preferred but more importantly applicants must be presentable, quick to learn, well-organised and good team players. Applicants must be 18+ in order to comply with licensing laws.

front of house supervisor

We are currently seeking a Front of House Supervisor for our farm restaurant near Buckfastleigh. This is a full-time position until December 2008 (may be extended) weekends and evenings included. Previous Front of House experience working in a professional restaurant essential.
